Nations Trust Bank Honours its Longest Serving Employees

Nations Trust Bank recently hosted its annual “Milestones” event to celebrate the invaluable contributions and journeys of its longest serving employees. The event was held on the 8th of October 2019 at the Movenpick Hotel in Colombo under the theme, “Celebrating Your Journey with Us”. It was an evening of glamour and excitement as Nations Trust Bank’s senior cadrecame together to celebrate the achievements and the journeys of those who havecompleted 15 or 20 years at Nations Trust Bank, respectively. The evening also served as an occasion to celebrate Nations Trust Bank’s 20th Anniversary, which fell in July this year. Renuka Fernando – CEO of Nations Trust Bank along with other members of the Bank’s corporate Management were present at the event along with the families of those being honoured.

Speaking about the “Milestones” event, Ramanika Unamboowe – Executive Vice President, Human Resources at Nations Trust Bank said, “This year we are celebrating 20 years of innovation and success and there are some members of our team who’ve been with us from the inception to-date. They are instrumental in having built the success we enjoy today and thus, we set aside a special day to honour the contributions of those who have been with us longest and celebrate their journeys with us. These are all people who have built highly successful careers and Nations Trust and many of them have grown to become respected and recognized personalities in the industry. Therefore, there was a great shared sense of pride amongst all who participated at the event. Over 20 years, Nations Trust Bank has grown into a formidable player in the industry and Sri Lanka’s most progressive bank. We have led the way in terms of innovation, having launched many firsts and revolutionary concepts in this country. Therefore, as we celebrate 20 years and the immeasurable contributions of our longest serving members, we resolve to continue to innovate and change the game where possible.”
